HOW DO I SIGN UP AS A BABYSITTER?
In order to sign up as a babysitter, you must go to the page for sitters. Once there, click on the green button that says "Post a Profile". Fill out all fields in this form and click the "Post Ad" button.

HOW DO I USE THIS SERVICE?
The most effective way to use this service if you are either a family in search of a sitter for your child(ren), or a sitter in search of a family to work with, is to post a profile. Families may do this from the "For Families" page, while sitters may do this from the "For Sitters" page. Once there, just click on "Post a Profile" and fill out the form.

Families: be sure to be specific about required availability and any special needs your child(ren) may have.

Sitters: be sure to be specific about your qualifications and availability. Include your background with diabetes, your babysitting experience and skills. You should also mention your rates and any special information you would like families to know (such as hobbies and interests).

Don't forget to read the Terms of Use before clicking "post ad" at the bottom of the form.

Another way to use safesittings.com is to search for sitters or families in your area. Again, families may do this from the "For Families" page, while sitters may do this from the "For Sitters" page. Once there, you may type in a keyword (ex: pump, injection, weekends, etc.) into the search box OR select either your state or city to view all sitters/families who have posted profiles in your area.

WHAT IF MY CITY IS NOT LISTED?
IS SAFESITTINGS AVAILABLE IN MY AREA?
Safesittings is a nationwide service and is available wherever there are families and sitters looking for such a service. However, it would be cumbersome to list every city in the nation on the search page, especially since not every city will have profiles associated with it. If you do not see your city, that only means no one has posted a profile in that area yet. This does NOT mean that the service is not available in your area. Once you post your profile and enter the city you live in, your city will appear on the website, making it easier for others to find you.

Remember that safesittings.com is still a relatively new service and it may take some time for more cities to appear on the website. By posting your own profile, you can make this happen sooner.

HOW DO I CONTACT A BABYSITTER?
Once you have found a babysitter you would like to contact, it is very simple to get in touch with them. At the bottom of every profile, there is a form that you must fill out in order to contact that person. Once you have filled out all fields of that form, be sure to check the box that confirms that you have read and agree to the Terms of Service and click the "Contact this Babysitter" button.

An email will be sent directly to the babysitter and then it is up to that person to respond to you. It is important to include an email address that you regularly check under the "email" field of the form because the sitter's response will be sent to that address.

HOW DO I CONTACT A FAMILY?

Safesittings is a completely free, nation-wide service. Fees for individual babysitters should be negotiated between that individual and the families that s/he will be working with.
